I used to go to school with Evan, back in the day. He was a few years younger than me. One of the things that I really loved about out school was the sense of community. Years after I had finished school I still bumped into people who weren’t in my grade, however we all knew “of each other” and would just say g’day. It wasn’t uncommon to bump into someone and have a chat about life.
I caught up with Evan pretty randomly outside a client’s building where he’s a maintenance/ repair guy (imagine Hire a Hubby, but without the Hire a Hubby kinda vibe) and we got chatting about life.
Months later he messaged me on Facebook about something exciting. It took a bit of navigating but he was able to plan the perfect day for Eliza-Jane. I was hanging around this seat for over an hour keeping people away, I tried my best, but when the horses arrived and I had to hide, a random plopped his bottom down and started sipping and taking selfies..
Evan, well done brother!
I hope that you guys can take the time to reflect on your relationship and get all giddy about this next chapter in your life.
Bren.
